Economic analysis of renewable heating technologies

As we shift to the low-carbon economy, there will be increasing pressure to decarbonise heating which accounts for 40% of energy related carbon emissions. Currently, only 10% of heating demand is met using renewable energy.

In this study, a student will be required to carry out a detailed state-of-the-art investigation into renewable heating technologies for different temperature ranges. The ultimate goal is to determine the cost of energy delivered from various technologies, and understand the key factors which influence its cost.
