Modelling the mechanical changes during wound healin

In our lab we are interested in interfacing with the body for the purpose of extracting biological signals that could be used for healthcare purposes. A challenge for us is to understand how the changes in biological tissues relate to the non-invasive measurement tools that we use in the lab. This project will work to develop a finite element model of wound healing, which can be used in conjunction with our experimental data to understand the mechanical changes in this complex system. No experience of biology is required, but some finite element modelling would help.
