Modelling of (pro)drug diffusion and conversion within catalytic hydrogels (2020/21)

We are working on hydrogel carriers of palladium nanoparticles, for the spatially controlled conversion of harmless prodrugs into potent chemotherapeutics. The aim of the project is to build a mathematical model that will help dissect overall release kinetics into the individual steps in the process, including diffusion into the carrier, conversion at the Pd surface, and diffusion back out. Basic modelling skills (in any language) are desirable.
