Novel beam steering feedback loop using single-photon optical beacons

The research group recently demonstrated the capability to measure single-photon level optical beacons using novel 2D sensors, which has applications in photon starved optical communications such as; quantum communications, low-light-level optical communications, and high-loss channel optical communications. We aim to create a feedback loop with the novel 2D sensor and an optical beam steering system to realign the optical system automatically. We wish to explore this application further with a student.
