Testing of 3D printed luminescent parts

The 3D printing market has experienced astonishing expansion in recentyears, and is still expected to present a compound annual growth rate of 28.5% between 2016 and 2022. This will translate into the emergence of new products, companies and jobs. In this context, new ranges of materials with new functionalities have been developed, including materials able to luminesce.
In this project you will be required to test the performance of some new plastic materials for 3D printing. You will acquire solid skills in the characterisation of materials, especially optical techniques. TYou will then test the performance of the different materials. Some parameters will be measured for the first time, which will present the opportunity to prepare a scientific publication.
