Synopsis:

According to the postulates of quantum mechanics, certain measurements give random outcomes. However, how can we be sure that this is the case? I will discuss some possible ways to justify this and consider how we might certify that a process is random without relying on quantum mechanics. This will lead to arguably the strongest evidence to date for the existence of genuinely random processes.
