Creating Real-World Impact: Public Engagement and Research Support

Fri, 04/04/2025 - 14:30 to 15:00

Location:

Speaker:
Camilla Irvine-Fortescue
Synopsis:

Engagement and impact are vital for university research as they ensure findings are relevant to societal challenges and facilitate collaboration with stakeholders, enhancing research outcomes and practical applications. Within research proposals it has become increasingly important that you demonstrate how your research will have an impact in the world outside academia, and the engagement steps that you will take to realise that impact. We will share how the Research Engagement Directorate (RED) can support researchers to embed public engagement and impact in their research proposals and resulting projects, engaging with diverse stakeholders and ensuring you can evidence your impact.
