Synopsis:

Our November EDI seminar on Inclusive Research Cultures will be delivered by Dr Chiara Cocco and Prof Kate Sange from the EDICa (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Caucus). This seminar is open to colleagues across the university.

Dr Chiara Cocco invites colleagues to a seminar presenting the outcomes of the Menstrual Health Series at HWU, a cross-disciplinary initiative that successfully elevated menstrual health as a critical issue within the university’s research culture. This project created space for open dialogue among researchers and professional services staff, enabling the sharing of lived experiences and the exploration of how menstrual health intersects with career pathways, wellbeing, and institutional policy. The seminar will also feature key findings and recommendations from the EDICa (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Caucus) research, led by Professor Kate Sang. This work provides valuable data on the impact of menstrual health on research careers and contributes to broader efforts to embed inclusive practices within academic environments.
