Our December EDI seminar is delivered by Prof Vicki Stone, EPS Deputy Executive Dean and Professor of Toxicology at the Institute of Biological Chemistry, Biophysics and Bioengineering (IB3).
Over the last few years, the University, Athena Swan and the School have collected staff feedback via a variety of surveys. What happens to the data? How is it used? What difference does it make?
This seminar will provide an opportunity to look at how the EPS Working Group for People was formed, how it analysed staff feedback in a systematic way to generate over 50 actions. We will explore some of these actions and how they have been implemented over the last 1-2 years. These actions cover a wide range of issues relating to senior management visibility, promotion, probation, wellbeing, induction, mentoring, and inclusion of professional and technical services staff.
The seminar will also explore more urgent responses to pulse survey and Athena Swan survey feedback. Finally, you will be invited to brainstorm some suggestions for future activities.
