BASP conceptual toolkit tour

We are delighted to invite you to this "conceptual toolkit tour” about the research performed by the BASP (Biomedical and Astronomical Signal Processing) group, all in a festive atmosphere around a glass of wine and with some christmas songs. The topics explained can be of potential interest in your own field of research. We will give a brief introduction on the theory of Compressive Sensing (CS), followed by the presentation of some state-of-the-art optimisation algorithms used to solve the problems stemming from CS. We will illustrate techniques in radio and optical interferometry for astronomical imaging. Finally, we will show image reconstruction strategies in magnetic resonance for medical imaging.
