Synopsis:

Microstrip antenna technology enables low cost, good integration and versatility for wireless and mobile communications. In this context, full duplex operation (simultaneous transmission and reception) can be appreciated. Yet, it requires high isolation between transmission and reception ports. The studied antenna design has been selected because of its ability to work in full duplex, and would be used for wireless power transfer. I will first talk about the structure of the antenna and its global mechanisms. Then, I will present its advantages for retro-directive array systems. Finally, I will present some latest investigations for parasitic coupling reduction and isolation improvement.
