Synopsis: 

Millimeter waves are nowdays one of the major topic of research which is attracting considerable investment by the telecommunication industry . In the last few years, the microwave group at the University of Calabria has been very active in the field of millimeter wave developing antennas and integrated circuits for telecommunication and radar applications. The talk will describe the activities carried out at the University of Calabria in the framework of european and national programs showing results spanning from the design of fixed beam antenna and phased arrays to SiGe integrated front end and mmics.

Biography: 

Giandomenico Amendola is associate professor with the "Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica, Modellistica, Elettronica e Sistemistica" at the University of Calabria, Italy. His current research interest is in the design of integrated antennas for terrestrial and satcom communications.
