Synopsis:

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK. 1 in 8 men are diagnosed with it in their lifetime. Some prostate cancers grow very slowly and do not need treatment, but some grow quickly and are more likely to spread. Current clinical methods to identify and diagnose prostate cancer have limitations. Using contrast enhanced ultrasound imaging, we are applying a newly developed algorithm to try to create images of blood vessel networks within the prostate to aid and improve prostate cancer diagnosis.
