Engineering for 3-7 year olds

This seminar will focus on two public engagement projects funded by the EPSRC Engagement Champions fund and another by the Royal Academy of Engineering Ingenious scheme. Both projects target children under the age of 7, exploring a range of different approaches to learn more about engagement with this audience. The seminar will discuss diversity challenges in engineering (and STEM in general), the motivation behind working with younger children, stereotypes and career aspirations as well as examples of successful public engagement work communicating engineering to 3-7 year olds.
