A brief overview will be given on the Sasol Chemicals business with an emphasis on the Advanced Materials-Alumina Division. The production process and applications of the high-purity alumina products manufactured as a co-product in the Ziegler Alcohol process will be discussed with a focus on doped aluminas and mixed oxides utilized as catalyst supports.
