Synopsis:

The Falcon Project is a small organisation, a key objective for Falcon is to sustain and develop the UK capability in energetic materials, in terms of people, equipment and facilities. After years of general decline in the UK composite rocket capability, Falcon has re-assembled a team of key personnel from previous programmes and establishments. These team members are sharing their experience with a dynamic young team. The talk will cover various rocket projects, through a history of Falcon. From the initial start as an amateur rocket project, through the BLOODHOUND SSC land speed record project and the establishment of the Westcott facility. We will conclude the talk with a discussion of the exciting new technologies of Resonant Acoustic Mixing (RAM) and flow chemistry.
