Synopsis:

The birth and initial evolution of the universe determined the physical constant we know as a civilisation. Their particular values made intelligent life possible. A difference of only 2% in the force that binds protons and neutrons in the atomic nucleus would have resulted in completely different atoms from which life could not have developed. This ‘fine tuning’ of physical constants is one of the great puzzles of today which cosmologists are trying to elucidate. Against this background including the Big Bang, Inflation and linear expansion of the universe, I will present my own work on an alternative formulation of Quantum Physics. Our results are consistent with the long wavelength deficiency observed in the spectrum measured by the Planck Satellite. This presentation will not be technical and will take a tutorial approach.
