Biomolecular Interaction Analytics employing

A recent grant award by the MRC Medical Research Foundation has allowed us to
acquire a Nanotemper Monolith NT.115. This instrument utilises microscale
thermophoresis to determine the kinetics of protein-protein interactions. Importantly this
can be performed in both a pure system and directly in cellular extracts to determine a
range of kinetic parameters can be determined (the dissociation constant Kd, affinity,
stoichiometry, binding energetics and cooperativity). This equipment will be made
available to researchers as part of the Edinburgh Super-reolution Imaging Consortium
(ESRIC).
