Farewell to animal research; can human and neural and cardiovascular constructs replace animals in biomedical research?

In this seminar I will give a personalised perspective of recent animal research and in so doing will assess the usefulness of the comparative method and phylogenetic approach. I will then describe some of our recent research on ‘instant-cells’, and human neural and cardiac tissues derived from human pluripotent stem cells.
