Of mice and men… preclinical ultrasound imaging

Synopsis:
Clinical ultrasound imaging utilises ultrasound in the frequency range of 3-10MHz achieving sub-millimetre resolutions. In preclinical imaging, higher ultrasound frequencies are used yielding resolutions of the order of 100µm. In this presentation, the use of ultrasound for high resolution preclinical applications will be reviewed.
