Synopsis:

Cell manipulation using a dual beam laser trap is a powerful tool understanding cell mechanics and structures on a single to few cell level. In this talk I will present my current work on a novel device that is capable of rotating cells tomographicaly by altering the shape of light travelling in one of the laser beam arms. By sequential imaging the sample as it rotates isotropic resolution can be obtained, this is especially valuable when dealing with complex sub cellular or multicellular structures.
