Data Management Planning: A briefing for members of IB3 & ICS - STAFF ONLY

Many research funders now expect that research data must be as openly available as possible. Many funders also require a data management plan (DMP) to be put in place during the research proposal submission process. From March 1st 2016 the University expects DMPs to be created for all proposals.

This briefing session has been designed to provide research leaders with:

• an overview of the funders and University expectations,
• an outline of how to construct a DMP,
• an overview of the support available to help you with creating a DMP,
• an opportunity to ask questions and discuss with peers any specific challenges these new expectations pose.
